During this pandemic, most every business and entity have shut down to prevent the spread of the virus. Many businesses have simply scaled back their activities while still offering customer service. This goes for many government agencies as well.
People with disabilities who rely on government assistance are especially vulnerable in times like these. Fortunately there are still plenty of Social Security Admin workers that are working remotely and keeping the funds flowing.
All Social Security field offices are closed which means they are not accepting walk-ins. But assistance is still available via telephone.
Payments wil continue to be made electronically and through the mail. There should be no interruption of payments.
